Jubilee Riots delivers with new creativity and sound

You can call me a harsh critic of the musicians or the performing artists formerly known as Enter the Haggis. You can say I’ve gotten used to the whimsical delivery of Celtic, Rock. World, Fusion that could taking you drifting away to lands where you could imagine yourself frolicing peacefully through a meadow without a care in the entire world. With that being said a few albums ago, Whitelake, was a complete turn off to me.  Don’t get me wrong, the music was great but it didn’t fit what I’ve come to know from the present members that became Enter the Haggis at that time.  Fast forward a few years, a kickstarter campaign that was hugely successful to create the album Modest Revolution, and then a whole new creative direction that including a entire name change & sound.

Call me blown away!  I’ve known at least four of the current members of the now Jubilee Riots for nearly ten years, Brian, Mark, Trevor, & Craig, this past summer & wasn’t sure of this huge change.  Excuse me for a moment, though above I didn’t find Whitelake to my musical tastes, I may occasionally disagree with these fine gentlemen but that doesn’t mean I haven’t supported what they do every time they attempted a new endeavor.  I must say after getting to listen to Penny Black from start to finish it probably the best christening of Jubilee Riots because it has already infected me worse that the ebola virus.  This infection is a very good one that has my ears celebrating, mind relaxing, & heart filled with joy from the upbeat sound.  If you’re looking for something new to put into your music & song collection that has a real kick to it then you cannot go wrong with Penny Black by Jubilee Riots.  Really epic job on this one Jubilee Riots!
